Sûreté du Québec investigators searched Montreal police headquarters Thursday night following allegations of financial impropriety within police brass.
La Presse is reporting that SQ detectives took action after learning about a high ranking officer may have been pocketing bonus money meant for his superiors. The officer in question also allegedly collected pay for overtime hours he never worked.
The investigators were reportedly at police headquarters to find evidence that might corroborate these suspicions. La Presse is also reporting the SQ searched Station 38, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, and three other areas.
