Laval police have turned to the public in an effort to locate a robbery suspect who used pepper spray to make her escape from a Dollarama store in the city’s Ste-Dorothée district.
The incident occurred on Oct. 10 at about 1:30 p.m. The suspect entered the store and placed several items from store shelves into her bag before heading for the exit.
As she tried to leave, she was intercepted by a security guard, whom she targeted with a blast of pepper spray and then struck several times. A female witness who tried to intervene was also pepper sprayed.
The suspect then fled the scene by car.
The suspect is a white female in her late 20s who spoke with an Arabic accent. She stands about five feet five inches, weighs about 135 pounds and has face piercings. At the time of the robbery, she had auburn hair and was wearing a black coat, dark pants and black and white shoes.
